I Ths, 5:18 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." Hebrews 12:28 "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe..."

I keep wanting to find a scripture that says, "The days alloted to man shall not be shortened by those days spent afield hunting..."

I thought sure, I read that somewhere, however, I pulled out my concordance and it isn't in there. Thats okay; perhaps the good Lord just whispered that in my ear once while sitting on a deer stand. In a real world sense, time spent hunting, has been proven in my case at least to dramatically lower stress levels; so in reality, it does add to a man's length of days. If hunting season is not open, then I reckon the same would apply to a day spent fishing, or just enjoying the great outdoors. Remember take time this season to introduce a son or daughter to hunting and the shooting sports. Keep the tradition alive, and build valuable memories for your kids at the same time.
