Savage Arm's Visit To McGraw Sportsman's Club

On Sunday 5/20/2012, Bethany Hobin, Savage Arm's Manufacturer's Rep hosted an opportunity to view several of Savage Arm's new line of rifles and also to take part in shooting the guns and a chance to win some prizes including ball caps with the Savage logo on them along with some nice  folding knives.

Rifles represented covered the gamut from the NEW Rascal Series .22 single shot bolt action youth models, up through the .17 series on up to the Savage 110-BA .338 Lapua. There was even a 20 gauge bolt action slug gun present. The Rascal Series .22 Rim fires come available in 6 different colors in addition to hardwood stocks. The rifle also comes with adjustable peep sights, a feed ramp and a manual safety. Looks like just the ticket to introduce  that youngster of yours to the shooting sports.

First of all, where in the world is the McGraw Sportsman's Club located. Well the short answer is in McGraw, NY of course. It has been my home away from home so to speak for over 25 years. The actual address is 3154 Ridge Road, McGraw, NY 13101. The club features a 200 yard rifle range, along with sporting clays, skeet and trap shooting facilities.

Beth who is a Manufactuer's Represenative for Savage Arms is more than just another pretty face posing with a gun. She is very knowledgeable about the Savage product line and she is also a hunter and a shooter in her own right. Beth normally hunts deer with her 6.5 Creedmore and when she needs a little more gun, she uses her .300 Win mag. She is a credit to the firearms industry in general and to Savage Arms.

Below is a photo of the Savage 93R17 BSEV thumb hole stocked .17 HMR with AccuTrigger, Spiral Fluting, Stainless Steel Heavy Barrel

Next up is a another easy to carry Savage rifle and I believe this one was in 6.5 Creedmoore
.300 Win mag

Kudo's to the McGraw Sportsman's Club for hosting this event and to Beth for her contributions to Savage Arms and the shooting sports in general.

IF you are in the market for a new rifle make sure you check out the Savage line. If you have never fired a Savage rifle with the AccuTrigger, you do not know what you are missing. One of my favorite rifles in my safe is a Savage Weather Warrior with AccuTrigger in .308 Win, wearing a Bushnell Elite 3200 3X10X40 scope. It handles like a dream and shoots minute of angle groups all day long with a variety of factory ammo. Visit your local sporting goods store today and check out the Savage line. You will be glad you did.

Thanks for the kind words. I had a lot of help from my kids, specially my sons. I have sort of learned it by the boot straps and as I go along. You can google a lot of information about starting a blog and how to design it etc. Dan
