ANNOUNCEMENT for Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan Series rifles

I read an article in this month's "Rifle Sporting Firearms' Journal" written by Brian Pearce concerning a possible weakness in the New Synthetic Stock as issued on the Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan Series Rifles. This is a possible inherent weakness in the design, especially around the pistol grip area of the stock. Hogue will replace these stocks free of charge, if you write to them at:

office@hogueinc.com email

or call them at 1-805-239-1140

They will need your exact name and address and probably phone number and e-mail if you have one. I am not sure if they will ask for any receipts showing where purchased etc.

I believe this only affects the ALASKAN series Ruger Hawkeye stocks. For clarification on this issue contact Hogue directly. The article indicated the problem is NOT hazardous. The just want to stand fully behind their products and will replace the stocks at no charge. This pertains to the Hogue overmolded synthetic stocks and NOT the wood stocks.

If you own one of these fine rifles in the Alaskan series, such as the new .375 Ruger, contact Hogue.
