A Truly Innovative Line Of Rifle Scopes (Mueller Optics)

One of my favorite line of rifle scopes is one that does not do much of any advertising and yet offers surprising quality for your hard earned dollar. That scope line is Mueller Optics. Two of their scopes I am familiar with is their 3X9X40 1/8 min red dot scope, and the other is their 2X7X32 sport dot 1/4 min scope. I have the 2X7X32 mounted on a TC 209/50 muzzle loader and the 3X9X40 mounted on a Savage 30:06. These scopes are a great buy for the money as both are under $150.00 and yet I feel out perform scopes costing much more. Both have a rheostat setting with 11 different intensities for the battery operated illuminated red dots. Both make a great scope for early or late hunting. They also now offer a NEW 3x9x40 Hybrid scope. Be sure to LOOK AT all their scopes and I think you will be impressed. If you like to hunt bear over bait, the 2X7X32 Sport dot is the scope you will want mounted on your rifle.  NOTE: I do not make any profit from or am I connected in any way to Mueller Optics EXCEPT I AM a big fan of their scopes. Check out their full line of optics here.

I LOVE the 2X7X32 Sport  Dot which has an illuminated red dot inside of a circle. This is a very fast set up during late afternoon hunting and uses 1/4 min clicks. This scope still sells for $149.95 at the time of this blog post.

The outer circle was designed for use with shot type loads fired from shotguns, for example when turkey hunting. The circle will cover 15″ @ 40 yards on 2× magnification. When sighting in shot type loads, adjust windage and elevation so the most dense pattern is centered in the circle. This assures the most dense portion of your pattern will hit your intended target.
The outer circle can also be used as a rangefinder and bullet drop compensator for slug guns and muzzleloaders. We are well aware that once these heavy loads reach a certain distance they begin dropping extremely fast so knowing your yardage can be the difference between a good clean kill or a potential miss.
The dot was designed for larger game animals such as Deer, Elk and Bear. The center dot will only cover 1″ at 100 yards making it ideal for the big game hunter. Sighting in is done in the same manner as a standard rifle scope.

Here is an excerpt for the 3X9X40 Sport dot:
